Privacy Policy

Unified Dev is a native macOS application built for developers. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We keep this short and direct.

What we collect

We collect the minimum data required to operate the service:

  • Account data — your email address, used to identify your license and send transactional emails (receipts, license activation).
  • License data — plan type, billing cycle, and activation status, stored locally on your device and verified against our licensing server.
  • Usage analytics — anonymous crash reports and basic feature usage counters (no personal identifiers attached). You can opt out in Settings.
  • Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What we do not collect

  • Your source code, repository content, or file contents.
  • The content of your AI agent conversations. These are sent directly from your machine to the AI provider you configure (Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub Copilot). We are not in that data path.
  • Your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket credentials. These are stored in your operating system keychain using AES-GCM encryption and never leave your device.

How we use your data

  • To activate and verify your license.
  • To send transactional emails related to your subscription (receipts, renewal reminders, refund confirmations).
  • To diagnose crashes and improve the application.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-party services

  • Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • AI providers — Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub Copilot. Your use of these providers is subject to their respective privacy policies. Unified Dev acts as a local client only.
  • GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket — source code hosting providers. Your data on these platforms is governed by their own policies.

Data retention

License and account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days. Contact support@akira-io.com to request deletion.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email support@akira-io.com.

Refund policy

We offer a full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email support@akira-io.com with your order ID.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
